Cow Wall
Summer 2007_Collaboration with Kevin Zwick and Caleb Sears
Now known as the ‘Cow Wall’, this commission, provided by the University of Kentucky, was to redesign the Slide Librarian's office in the College of Design Library. This outcome of this wall was generated by an organic approach to Interior Design. During the construction stages, my team began by removing the existing drywall. Following this removal, in small sections, we exposed the lath board and brick walls beneath it. Through this discovery of the wall that existed beneath, and the creative freedom we were offered by U.K, we decided to offer small 'spots' of the pre-existing layer beneath. The ‘Cow Wall’ was born.
