Taking up a whole city block in the heart of downtown Lexington, this project is comprised of a 12-Story Full Service Marriott, an 8-Story Residence Inn, Retail, Restaurant and an Office and Condo building with Bridge connecting to the Residence Inn, all of which sits on top of an underground parking garage.
My responsibilities included creating and working on Construction Documents, creating Presentation Packages, site visits, attending client coordination meetings, reviewing shop drawings, and Construction Administration. While most of my time was spent working on the hotels portion of this project, I also spent time working on Construction Documents for the Offices and Condos.
This city block was demolished over 10 years ago while I was in my last year of school at the University of Kentucky. Although it had sat empty for so long, the hotel portion of this project, in particular, was under a very tight deadline to open before the Keeneland 2019 Fall Meet. We are on schedule for the date of completion, just in time for the races!
